In 1950, Christian Dunker, a young man of 34, started a dream in a small workshop next to his parents' carpentry shop in Bad Godesberg. That dream became Dunkermotoren. Four years later, the company's growth necessitated a move to its current headquarters in the heart of the Black Forest, a small town called Bonndorf.
Today, Dunkermotoren has transformed into a global leader. For over 70 years, we've been pushing the boundaries of innovation, developing and producing a wide range of flexible, high-quality motor solutions – from brushless and brushed DC motors to linear systems and AC motors – all reaching up to 5,000 watts of output power.

In 2021, Dunkermotoren joined forces with automation specialist EGS Automation. This powerful partnership strengthens our position at the forefront of industrial automation.
For EGS, this means unlocking access to Dunker’s cutting-edge drive technology, a vital component for their future-oriented robotics solutions. Together, we've already hit the ground running with joint projects for the SUMO automation systems. These projects are making a significant impact: by seamlessly converting systems from pneumatic actuators to efficient electric drives, we're achieving an impressive energy savings potential of up to 70%.
The year 2021 marked a turning point for Dunkermotoren. We not only welcomed EGS Automation to the family, but also celebrated the launch of our groundbreaking IIoT brand, nexofox.
